Jainism
Jainism is guided by the tirthankaras, they are consider as the creator of the Jainism
They suggests the path of fearless in the life that includes no violence activities
It names derives from the word Jina, meaning ‘Liberator or Victor'
The first thirthankar of the Jain religion was Rishabhdev
And 23rd was Parshavnath and 24th was Mahavir but the actual founder of the Jain religion is considered as the Mahavira
Mahavir
He was the last thirthankara of the Jainism
He was born in 599 BC(widely accepted) at Kundagrama near Vaishali
The name of the father of Mahavira was Siddhartha.
Siddhartha was the kshatriya form Ikshwaku dynasty.
His mother was Trishala
Trishala was the sister of the Licchavi Princess chief chetaka
He wandered around 12 years from at the age of 30
According to the Jainism he acquired largest knowledge.
Finally after 12 years Mahavira attained the enlightment under the sal tree near the village jimbhikagrama on the bank of river Rijupalika
Mahavira died in the age of 72 in 527 BC at Pavapuri
Division
After the death of Mahavira there were become the two parts of the religion Jainism ie Svetambers and Digambaras.
Svetambers were lead by Sthulbahu and were stayed in North
Digamber were lead by the Bhadrabhau and migrated to the southern side named as Belgola in Karnataka region.
In Jainism there are three ratnas are given below
Samyak vishwas right faith
Samyak gyan right knowledge
Samyak karma right conduct
Principles
They don’t believe in the Vedas from Hindi Scriptures
Attainment of Salvation by believing in penance and dying of starvation.
Laid great emphasis on equality or universal brotherhood.

Councils
First councils
It was held at Pataliputra by Sthulabhadra in the beginning of 3rd century BC and with compilation of 12 angas to replaced 14 Purvas.
Second council
It was held in Vallabhi in the AD 512 under the chairmen ship of Devardhi and resulted in final compilation of 12 Angas and 12 Upangas

These were written in the Prakrit language
Svetambaras believed in the first five literatures.
